Tex is the kind of puppy who seems to wake up every morning excited about life. Born on 2/24/2026, Tex is a 15-pound Pit Mix with a playful, confident personality and a heart full of love. He's a happy-go-lucky pup who is always ready for fun, whether that means playing with dog friends, chasing toys, exploring the yard, or soaking up attention from his favorite people. Tex is incredibly adaptable; he's all in if you want to play, and happy to settle down with a toy or cuddle up nearby when it's time to relax. He loves meeting new people and isn't shy about asking for pets, belly rubs, and kisses. Tex has never met a stranger, just future friends!
Ideal Home
Tex absolutely loves other dogs and thrives on canine companionship. He plays wonderfully with larger dogs and has also enjoyed spending time with other playful pups. He's great with a dog-savvy 7-year-old child and does a nice job matching his energy to the people around him. When introduced to a cat, Tex showed very little interest and did not attempt to chase. Tex would love a home with another playful dog or kids to keep him company, but he could fit into many different types of households. His perfect day would include running around outside, playing with his humans and dog buddies, and ending the day with plenty of love and attention.
Ongoing Health
All of our dogs are up to date on vaccinations, spayed/neutered, microchipped, and on preventatives.
Training & Support
Like any young puppy, Tex is still learning. He already knows "sit" and is working on "stay." He is very food motivated, which makes training fun and rewarding. He is doing well with crate training and sleeps through the night in his crate. He's making good progress with house training and has started going to the door when he needs to go outside. Leash walking is still a work in progress and will be something his future family should continue helping him develop.
