Steve

Meet Steve, a sweet, gentle giant who is ready for his chance at forever! Steve has made tremendous progress since arriving with us. He was quite ill and shut down when he first came to us, but he's now in good health and full of life!

Steve is an amazing boy who enjoys playing with his toys and splashing around in the water. He knows basic commands and loves to show off his skills. Steve walks well on leash with some mild pulling that is correctable. He responds well to a strong, confident handler and is crate, potty, and house-trained. Steve can be a little weary of new people but warms up quickly once he trusts you. He's a very affectionate boy, loving to give slobbery kisses and receive belly rubs. Steve is an extremely loyal companion once he feels safe and has earned your trust.

Ideal Home

Steve would do best in a home that can provide security, structure, and routine. He needs a strong, confident handler who can offer him guidance and reassurance that he is safe. Steve could potentially be dog-friendly with very slow, proper introductions after ample decompression time.

Ongoing Health

Steve is currently in good health and has made a full recovery from being sick.

Training & Support

Steve is crate, potty, and house-trained and knows basic commands. He walks well on leash with some mild pulling that is correctable. He responds best to a strong, confident handler.
