Duke

Hi there! My name is Duke, and I'm a charming 1.5-year-old, 15-pound pup looking for my forever family. I'm a sweet boy who loves to play with my toys, snuggle up with my favorite people, and just hang out by your feet while you relax. I sleep soundly in my kennel at night and let my foster parents know when it's time to go outside in the morning. I'm doing wonderfully with house training and really enjoy my time outdoors. I'm not a wanderer; I prefer to stick close to my humans. I get along well with other dogs, but I'm not sure about cats as I haven't met any yet. Recently, I surprised everyone by sitting on a guest's lap for an entire evening – a huge accomplishment since I can be a little selective with new people!

Ideal Home

I'd thrive in a home where building trust is understood and patience is a virtue. I'm working on some behavioral quirks and would do best with an adopter who is committed to helping me grow into the confident, happy dog I know I can be.

Ongoing Health

All UnderDogs are spayed/neutered, heartworm checked, microchipped, up to date on vaccines, and current on heartworm/flea/tick preventatives.

Training & Support

I'm currently working with Underdog Rescue on training related to isolated aggression, and I'm making good progress. An adopter who understands that building trust takes time will be key to my continued growth.
