Ivy

Ivy is a sweet 4-month-old female Pitbull/Retriever mix who is estimated to be a large size when fully grown. She was rescued with her mother and siblings from an abandoned building in Texas. Ivy is thriving in her foster home and has learned to sit, give paw, and kennel. She is also practicing leash walking and doing very well. Ivy is in a home with children and other dogs, and she is slowly warming up to the men and boys in the household. She is very smart, eager to please, and has great recall. Ivy loves to cuddle but also enjoys zooming around the house and yard.

Ideal Home

Ivy would do best in a home that is patient and ready for puppyhood. She needs a family willing to expose her to the world and continue her socialization. She is not housebroken or crate trained and cannot be left alone all day. Adopters must be committed to consistent training, positive guidance, socialization, and structure.

Ongoing Health

Ivy is a young puppy and has no known ongoing health issues.

Training & Support

Ivy is eager to learn and has a great recall. She will whine a little in her crate but settles down. She alerts when she needs to potty and rarely has accidents, though transitions may cause some. Continued socialization and patient training are essential for her success.
