Sugar

Sugar is a sweet 3-year-old female Miniature Schnauzer who came to us from a difficult breeding operation. While she's a bit shy around people and expresses her concerns when approached, she's made wonderful progress in her foster home. She's learning to go potty outside from the other dogs and is comfortable around them. Sugar would blossom with a confident, "normal" dog in the home to show her the ropes and would do best with an adopter who has experience with dogs from puppy mills. With continued love and attention, she'll continue to gain confidence!

Ideal Home

Sugar would thrive in a home with another well-adjusted dog to learn from. An adopter with previous experience with puppy mill dogs would be ideal.

Ongoing Health

Sugar is spayed, up-to-date on vaccinations (rabies, distemper, and kennel cough), vet-checked, heartworm tested negative, and on preventative. She is also microchipped.

Training & Support

Sugar is still learning to trust people and may express her fear when approached. Patience, gentle guidance, and a calm environment will help her build confidence. Learning from a resident dog will be a great asset.
