Meet Layla, a shy but sweet 2-year-old, 22 lb Rat Terrier/Pointer mix who is ready to blossom in a patient and loving home. Layla can be a bit timid at first, but once she feels safe, her true affectionate and gentle personality will shine. She's a quiet girl who would be suitable for apartment living, though a calmer environment might be best as she can get distracted by city bustle. Layla absolutely adores belly rubs and would do wonderfully with a canine companion to help her gain confidence. She's a special gem looking for a family to show her the meaning of forever.

Ideal Home

A patient and kind family who will give her the time and space to feel secure. A quieter environment may be beneficial.

Ongoing Health

Layla's adoption fee covers basic vetting, vaccinations, deworming, and preventative flea/tick and heartworm treatments. She will also have her spay/neuter surgery covered at a partner vet or reimbursed up to a certain amount if done elsewhere.

Training & Support

Layla will need a refresher on house-training. Obedience training is strongly recommended to help her adjust, socialize, and bond with her new family.
