Juju

Juju is a playful 7-month-old Blue Heeler Mix, currently weighing around 30lbs. We expect her to reach a full-grown size of about 45lbs. Juju is a bundle of puppy energy who loves to explore and learn. She comes to us from a partner rescue group, as so many of our wonderful animals do, needing a fresh start and a loving home.

Ideal Home

Juju is looking for an active and experienced adopter who understands the dedication required for raising a young dog. She'll need at least 90 minutes of vigorous exercise in the morning, plus additional walks and mental stimulation throughout the day. Prior experience with breeds of similar energy levels and temperaments is a must. Juju can do well in a home with children 8 years and older, as long as they are supervised and taught how to interact respectfully. She has also shown to be social with other dogs and cats.

Ongoing Health

Juju is healthy and up to date on her DHPP and Bordetella vaccines. She has been spayed and microchipped, and was treated with dewormer upon intake.

Training & Support

Juju is still working on potty training and will need a patient and consistent approach. She is also in the middle of a mouthy phase, which is common for puppies as they explore and teethe. Redirecting her chewing to appropriate toys and practicing gentle interaction with her mouth will be key. She is also learning leash manners and crate training, and will likely experience some initial separation anxiety as she adjusts. We strongly recommend professional, reward-based training from the start to help Juju thrive.
