Mizuki

Mizuki is a 1-year-old, spayed female Beagle mix who weighs about 16 lbs. She's a smart and sweet girl who is a little shy at first, but once she warms up, she's a playful and cuddly goofball who craves attention. Mizuki loves being outside, enjoying belly rubs and snuggles, and playing with her toys. She also has a unique fondness for eating buzzing insects! She gets along wonderfully with other small dogs, cats, and even chickens. Mizuki has shown great intelligence, learning to sit just by observing her foster sister.

Ideal Home

Mizuki thrives in a patient and loving home where she has ample time to feel safe and comfortable. She would do best in a home with a fenced yard and would benefit from having another dog to follow and learn from. Loud noises can startle her, and she experiences separation anxiety, so a family that is home more frequently or can take her along would be ideal.

Mizuki is a young, healthy dog with no ongoing health concerns to report.

Training & Support

Mizuki is potty-trained and regularly uses a doggy door. While she likes to sleep in her crate with the door open, she does not like being locked inside. She is still working on leash training but is becoming more comfortable with walks. As an adolescent, she enjoys chew toys to keep her busy and should not be left alone with items she might stress chew.
