Spicy is an 8-year-old Chihuahua mix with a personality as vibrant as his name! He came to us from a hoarding situation and is now ready to find his perfect match. Spicy is a unique little guy who truly shines when he feels safe and understood. He’s a smart cookie who knows his routines, sleeps in his kennel at night, and enjoys a good treat – in fact, treats are the fastest way to his heart and a wonderful tool for building trust! Spicy is also a good listener and follows directions well.
Ideal Home
Spicy is looking for a patient and understanding home, ideally with a confident male figure who can give him the time and consistent approach he needs to warm up. While he can get along with calm, submissive dogs and cats who respect his space, it’s important to remember he sees himself as the boss! Because of his need for a predictable and calm environment, we prefer a household with no small children.
Ongoing Health
Spicy is a healthy boy! All our pets receive a full vetting, including spay/neuter, age-appropriate vaccinations, deworming, heartworm testing (if applicable), microchipping, and flea/tick/heartworm prevention.
Training & Support
Spicy is housetrained but may mark indoors if left unsupervised, so his new family will need to help manage this. He also prefers a firm, confident touch and can become overstimulated by gentle petting. He'll let you know when he wants cuddles by jumping on your leg, and he'll also vocalize when he's had enough and wants his space. Learning to read his cues will be key to a happy life together.

Transportation
Spicy is located in Long Beach, Mississippi. We offer transport to the Northeast states every 2-3 weeks.
