Maya

Maya is a 67 lb sweetheart who is looking for her forever family. She was surrendered by her owner due to health issues. When Maya arrived, she had a tumor on her mammary gland, was extremely anemic, and was diagnosed with Tick Fever. She underwent surgery to remove the tumor and received a blood transfusion. She is now doing wonderfully!

Maya is incredibly affectionate and will be your shadow. She's always happy and interested in meeting other dogs, showing no signs of aggression. She has excellent house manners and simply wants to be wherever you are. While she's fine sleeping in a kennel, she's also content on her own bed. She's very tolerant and allows her foster mom to handle her incisions without any fuss. Maya's absolute favorite thing is playing with balls – she gets so excited watching pickleball games, hoping a ball will come her way! She is a truly sweet girl who deserves a loving home.

Ongoing Health

Maya's vet recommends retesting for cancer every 3 months for up to a year. Local adoption is advised due to the potential costs of future treatment.

Training & Support

Maya has good manners in the house and comes when called. She is a joy to have around!
