About Chase
Certified Good Boy Alert: Meet Chase!
Chase is what happens when you combine one enthusiastic young dog, approximately 47 pounds of athletic chaos, a squeaky toy obsession, and a heart the size of Texas. This handsome guy has made incredible progress in foster care and is proving every day that underneath the shelter stress was just a playful, affectionate dog who needed a chance to decompress. At home, Chase is housetrained, crate trained (mostly - he jumps in enthusiastically and has no accidents, but may protest a bit from time to time thanks to FOMO!), toy motivated, cuddly & affectionate, and excellent in the car. Like many young dogs, Chase starts his day with BIG feelings and excitement. He may do a few enthusiastic hops for attention, but he redirects beautifully and settles quickly after a walk, potty break, or play session. Once his energy is out? Full sploot mode. Toy chewing. Couch cuddles. Emotional support shadow activities. One of the best things about Chase is how eager he is to engage with his people. He LOVES affection, thrives with structure and routine, and genuinely wants to make good choices. His previous puppy mouthiness has improved tremendously in foster care and is now very easy to redirect to toys. When it comes to other dogs? Chase says YES PLEASE. He has shown consistently loose, wiggly, playful body language meeting other dogs and frequently offers adorable play bows to potential new friends. He has met several dogs on leash with very positive interactions and would likely thrive with another playmate who matches his energy! Watching Chase decompress outside of the shelter has been incredibly rewarding. The stressed, overwhelmed dog in his kennel has transformed into a goofy, affectionate, playful companion who settles beautifully in a home environment and just wants to do life with you. In return, Chase will provide endless entertainment, enthusiastic copiloting, impressive fetch skills, and unconditional love and loyalty. If you're looking for a fun, affectionate young dog with tons of personality and so much potential, Chase is ready to meet you.
