Nova: Adopt or Forever Foster

Nova is a sweet and playful girl who absolutely adores children! Her favorite pastimes include chasing tennis balls and splashing around in water. While she thrives with people, Nova is selective with other dogs and would do best as the only canine in the household. She also needs a home without cats. Nova is a well-behaved companion, being house-trained, crate-trained, and knowing all her basic commands. She's almost 4 years old, weighs about 65 lbs, and is fully vetted. Nova was a favorite among shelter staff and volunteers, who recognized her potential and hoped to give her a better chance at finding her forever family. She'd love to have kids to play with! One thing to note is that Nova gets quite nervous during car rides, so a home where she can be a stay-at-home dog or enjoy leash walks would be ideal. If travel is necessary, a mobile vet like Doorbell Vet might be a great option. She's been waiting for two years, but she's sure to make a wonderful companion for the right family.

Nova's adoption fee has been partially sponsored, making it just $100! She's also available through our special Forever Foster program. This program allows approved applicants to welcome her into their family at no cost, with us covering all her vetting, including regular and emergency care, preventatives, and vaccines for life. We also provide support like transportation to appointments and temporary boarding for vacations, all for life. Please ask for more details about this unique opportunity.

The adoption fee includes all vetting up to date, including spay/neuter and microchip. If Nova is under 6 months old, the spay/neuter and microchip will occur after she reaches 6 months, fully covered at our clinic or partially reimbursed at a vet of your choice. If she is older than 6 months and not yet altered, we will schedule her spay/neuter appointment as soon as possible, typically within 30 days, at our clinic. As an added incentive, we also offer a $60 rebate for completing positive-based training classes. Your adoption also includes lifetime support from our rescue.

Ideal Home

Nova would love a home with children to play with. She needs to be the only dog in the home and cannot live with cats. She would prefer a home where she can minimize car rides.

Training & Support

Nova is house trained, crate trained, and knows all basic commands. She gets nervous during car rides, so a home environment that minimizes travel is recommended.

Transporation

Nova is located near Rochester, NY. We can transport dogs within a several-hour radius of Rochester, NY. Canada is also within range, though puppies under 16 weeks old will need to be old enough to have received their rabies vaccination to cross the border.
