Cleo

Cleo is a sweet 4-year-old, 30 lb. Labrador mix who was rescued in November 2023. She was found in the street with a leg fracture, but after receiving medical attention, her bone healed well. While she walks a little crooked, she has no special needs and is a happy, grateful soul who is truly living her best life! Cleo is loyal, calm, well-behaved, and enjoys car rides, walks on leash, and crate training.

Ideal Home

Cleo would thrive in a home that can give her at least 3 months to show her true personality. An active family that enjoys daily walks or hiking would be a great fit. A fenced backyard is preferred, and an open mind to the unique behaviors of rescued street animals is essential. Ideal adopters will have experience in dog behavior and training and possess high tolerance and patience for a rescued pup. Cleo is not yet house-trained.

Ongoing Health

Cleo's leg healed well after a fracture, and while she walks with a slight crookedness, she has no special needs. She has been spayed, vaccinated (DHPPI, Rabies, Bordetella), dewormed, and tested negative for heartworm. She receives monthly Nexgard Spectra for flea, tick, and heartworm prevention.

Training & Support

Cleo is not house-trained, and her foster family is unable to provide extensive house-training due to the number of animals they care for. Adopters should be prepared to continue her house-training and provide consistent guidance.

Transporation

Cleo is currently being fostered in Saltillo, Mexico. She is ready to travel to the East Coast on an upcoming cross-country trip, with transport available to the adopter's home address. The adopter is responsible for the $400 transport fee, which is paid prior to the pet's departure.
