KELLY

Kelly is a lively, young German Shepherd with an adventurous spirit, always ready for a game of tug-of-war or fetch. She's an ideal companion for an active family who loves the outdoors. While her confident bark might seem intimidating at first, Kelly's tough exterior quickly melts away once she gets to know you, revealing a sweet soul eager for belly rubs and cuddle time. She's highly intelligent, motivated by treats, and has already mastered several basic commands. Kelly has completed a board-and-train course and attends supervised professional daycare to further her socialization. She is fully vaccinated, spayed, microchipped, and house- and crate-trained. At 2 years old and around 66 lbs, she's ready to find her forever home.

Ideal Home

Kelly would thrive in a quiet, rural neighborhood. She needs a home with an experienced owner who understands leash reactivity, as she struggles with this, especially around other dogs and strangers. She would do best as the only pet, although she might adapt to living with another easy-going medium to large breed dog with slow introductions. A home with older children (16+) is recommended. A secure, 6-foot fence is required, and any pool must be separately fenced for safety.

Training & Support

Kelly has made significant progress in socialization but still struggles with leash reactivity. She also experiences some separation anxiety, though she can manage a few hours alone. With patience and consistency, she will learn to feel secure. Kelly can be overly excited when meeting new visitors, but a high-value treat quickly helps her calm down.
