About Russ

Meet Russ!

This adorable fluffy chunk is everything you'd hope for in an Aussie/Lab mix puppy - smart, curious, playful, affectionate, and always ready for his next adventure. Russ loves playing with other dogs and would thrive in a home with a confident canine companion to play with, learn from, and help burn off some of that puppy energy! At just 3 months old, he's already off to a great start. He sleeps soundly through the night in his crate and is making great progress with potty training.

Ideal Home

Russ will do best with a family that is patient, understanding, and committed to building his confidence through positive reinforcement and gentle exposure to the world, as he is currently in a developmental stage known as the puppy fear period. He is looking for a home with experience handling herding breeds or other high-drive working dogs. His family should be prepared to channel typical herding instincts, such as chasing or nipping, through training and enrichment. He requires a securely fenced yard and another dog in the home.

Ongoing Health

No specific health conditions are mentioned, but as a puppy, he is still growing and developing.

Training & Support

Russ is highly intelligent and will thrive with structure, consistency, mental enrichment, and plenty of daily exercise. Positive reinforcement training and puppy classes will help him grow into a confident, well-mannered adult. His new family should be prepared to commit to ongoing training, confidence-building, and providing appropriate mental and physical enrichment.
