Valentina was born on January 14, 2026, in a foster home after her mom was rescued while pregnant and recovering from being hit by a car. She was the first of four siblings to enter the world, and from day one, she has shown just how special she is. At just 5 months old, Valentina will grow to be a medium-sized dog. She is sweet, intelligent, and thoughtful. She likes to take her time getting comfortable with new people and situations, but once she feels safe, she becomes the most loving companion you could ask for. She is the kind of dog who follows you around the house, lies beside you while you work or relax, and simply enjoys being near her person. She loves belly rubs, playing with her siblings, and keeping an eye on everything happening around her. She also has a protective side and will always let you know when something catches her attention. Valentina is looking for a perfect family, one that understands her sensitive nature, respects her space, and gives her the chance to become the loyal companion she is meant to be. She currently weighs 10 kgs.
Ideal Home
Valentina would thrive in a calm and stable home environment. She would do best with people who have previous dog experience and who are looking for a quieter lifestyle, making her a great fit for small families or individuals. She is not a good fit for homes with young children or cats. Friendly, well-balanced dogs are welcome, and she would prefer a house with space where she can feel comfortable and secure.
Ongoing Health
Valentina is a healthy pup.
Training & Support
Valentina is potty trained with access to the yard and leash training is a work in progress. She is a sensitive girl and will need time and patience to adjust to new environments and people.
Application Details:
- Applications start by contacting us through Wags.
- If your application is approved, the adoption coordinator will collaborate with flight companions (flight angels) flying from Puerto Vallarta to an airport close to you.
Transporation
Valentina is located near Bucerias, Mexico. We facilitate adoptions to the US and Canada. It can be challenging to secure Canadian flight angels during summer months, so dogs may need to fly into the US and be picked up at Peace Arch Park at the border if a Canadian flight angel is unavailable. We have successfully completed many adoptions over the summer with volunteers helping to bring dogs to their adopters at the border, which remains a great option to keep adoptions moving forward.
