Gordy is a handsome medium-large boy, weighing in at 48 lbs, with a medium-high energy level. He's a low-noise maker and is good with dogs, cats, kids, and strangers! He is also potty trained and crate trained, though he does shed a medium amount.
Gordy, also known as Gordo, Gordito, Sir Gordon, and Cheesy Gordita Crunch, is an adorable border collie/lab mix who is looking for his forever home and, ideally, a ball to call his own. He absolutely loves to chase balls and will happily chase anything you throw for him, like stuffies, sticks, or ropes. Gordy also enjoys car rides, where he sits politely in the back seat, and he walks well on a leash.
Despite a rough history, Gordy is amazingly well-adjusted. He was rescued from a situation with 16 other dogs and didn't receive the best care. You might notice a slight limp due to a wonky front foot, likely from a ruptured tendon that didn't heal properly. Thankfully, it doesn't slow him down at all! He also recently had 8 front teeth removed, but his happy-go-lucky personality remains unshaken.
Ideal Home
Gordy would thrive in a home that can provide him with plenty of mental and physical stimulation. He loves chewing on bones and bully sticks, playing tug-of-war, and playing fetch.
Ongoing Health
Gordy has a limp due to a previous injury to his front foot and recently had 8 front teeth removed.
Training & Support
Gordy is a smart boy who has quickly learned "sit," "lay down," and "crate up." He's currently working on new commands.
