Navajo is a 6.5-year-old, neutered male Pitbull mix weighing around 75 pounds. He's a sweet, affectionate, and easygoing pup who perfectly balances playful energy with relaxed companionship. Navajo is just as happy joining you for a daily walk as he is curling up nearby for a cozy evening at home. He's an excellent car rider, a staff favorite at the vet, and has no issues with stairs. Navajo loves toys and is a champion cuddler, often greeting his people with his favorite stuffed animal. He has a quirky habit of napping in unusual spots like laundry baskets or bathtubs!
Ideal Home
Navajo would thrive in a stable, moderately active home that enjoys daily walks, occasional outings, and lots of affection. He doesn't need an ultra-active lifestyle, just consistent exercise, love, and companionship. He could do well as an only dog or with a compatible canine friend. Navajo would do best in a cat-free home due to a strong prey drive observed towards cats.
Ongoing Health
Navajo needed dental work upon arrival in foster care, and several damaged teeth were removed, including his canines. His remaining teeth are healthy, and he still happily chews his favorite bones.
Training & Support
Navajo enjoys playing with other dogs, especially in one-on-one or small group settings. He generally reads social cues well but may occasionally need gentle redirection if he gets too excited. He tends to be most comfortable with dogs his size or smaller, and proper introductions help him succeed with larger dogs. He is polite and non-reactive on leash, though he may pull a little at the start of walks when excited. Navajo is fully house-trained and crate-trained, and he can be left loose in the house when you're away without showing signs of separation anxiety. He has shown no resource guarding with food, treats, toys, or people.
