Bodhi

Bodhi is a handsome and playful 50-pound Black Mouth Cur who is searching for a loving forever home where he can continue to learn what it means to feel safe, loved, and be part of a family. This intelligent and athletic breed is known for its loyalty. Bodhi's journey hasn't been easy; he was unfortunately left behind in a Miami neighborhood, scared and unsure of the world. Despite his challenging start, Bodhi has proven to be incredibly resilient and loving. He's made remarkable progress in foster care, becoming housebroken, crate-trained, and a good leash walker. He currently coexists peacefully with other dogs. While Bodhi can be a bit shy initially due to his past experiences, he is not aggressive, only cautious until he feels comfortable. Once he builds trust, his goofy, affectionate, and playful personality emerges, complete with adorable growl-purr noises when he's being petted. Bodhi is highly food-motivated, making training a joy. He loves being outdoors, has plenty of energy for adventures, and even enjoys swimming.

Ideal Home

Bodhi would thrive in an active home that can provide both structure and adventure. He would do best in a cat-free environment, as he has a tendency to chase them.

Ongoing Health

Bodhi is up-to-date on vaccinations and has been neutered. He is in good health.

Training & Support

Bodhi is house-trained and crate-trained. He walks well on a leash. Continued positive reinforcement and patience will help him continue to build confidence.
