Hi there, I'm Richard! I'm a 1-year-old Coonhound/Shepherd mix who weighs about 60 pounds. I'm full of loyalty, love, and just the right amount of goofy puppy energy. A little while ago, I was a stray trying to survive, and after ending up at a rural shelter, I thought my time was up. Luckily, Take Paws Rescue said "yes" to me and gave me a second chance at life! Now that I'm safe, my true, happy personality is shining through. I'm a super friendly guy who loves being around people and tends to stick close to my person like Velcro – wherever you go, I'll be right there, ready to be your sidekick. I still have some puppy enthusiasm, so I love to play, especially with toys or a good game of fetch. I walk nicely on a leash, sleep well in my crate, and I'm working hard on my house manners. I always do my business outside!
Ideal Home
I think I'd truly thrive in a home with a yard where I can stretch my legs and keep learning my routine. I'm a bit afraid of cats, so a feline-free home would be best.
Ongoing Health
I am neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, and heartworm negative. I am also kept up-to-date on heartworm and flea prevention.
Training & Support
I need someone who will give me a little structure, consistency, and patience as I continue to figure things out. In return, I'll give you my whole heart and the makings of an incredible best friend!
