Lola is the equivalent of a clown car's trunk, full of the fun stuff! Imagine cartoonish features, four squeaky toys, a bouncy ball, at least one crinkle toy, and a pogo stick somehow transformed into a 20 lb dog – that's Lola! She's estimated to be around a year old and looks very much like a pug/boxer mix, though rescue rules absolutely apply and we cannot guarantee either. What we can guarantee is that Lola arrives preloaded with comedy, athleticism, and an enthusiasm that rivals a sugared-up kid about to ride their first carnival attraction. Lola is wildly entertaining and a genuinely happy dog. She adores fetch with her whole being, though her "return" skills are currently at about 97% mastery because once she has the toy, she can easily forget who threw it and sometimes what the next step is to get someone to throw it again. She absolutely thrives with playful dogs who enjoy chase games, wrestling, and rough-and-tumble antics. She's a toy lover who easily self-entertains and wakes up every day ready to turn life into recess.

Lola would likely thrive with someone who genuinely enjoys training and wants an active sidekick to pour their energy into. Think adventure buddy, hiking pal, training class enthusiast, enrichment queen – a home that values working her brain and body. She is the kind of dog that will be incredibly rewarding in the right hands. She handles environmental stressors well, recovers quickly, and remains social and confident with people always. She is loving, goofy, resilient, and very game for whatever comes next. Her dream home includes an equally playful dog who enjoys chase, shares toys, and enjoys the occasional playful wrestling match. This dream home will be cat-free, and she would like to pass on apartment living – this girl wants room to run! More than one playmate is welcome as long as they are sturdy, playful dogs over 25 lbs who enjoy physical play, have good tolerance levels, and know how to take breaks.

Lola is located in Texas. Wags facilitates adoptions nationwide using our rescue-run USDA-certified transport system. Transport includes drop-off locations in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI and Canada (pick up in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY, or Brattleboro, VT for Canadian adopters). Transport may incur an additional surcharge. Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
