REX, a.k.a Rexie the Bestie, a volunteer FAV

Meet Rex, also known as Rexie the Bestie! This handsome 68lb Black Lab mix, estimated to be born in September 2020, is a bubbly and outgoing guy who absolutely adores his people. He loves to run and play, and he's a pro at sitting for treats. Rex's favorite thing in the world is getting confirmation that he's a good boy, and he'll shower you with kisses 24/7! He's a volunteer favorite, partly because he's a surprisingly good lap dog, thinking he's a small pup even at nearly 70lbs. Rex had a rough start as a stray and experienced some betrayal in his past, but he's now ready to find a loving forever home to share all his affection with. He's done wonderfully at adoption events, including a lively outing at an Astros watch party and relaxed dinners at dog-friendly restaurants with his best buddy Bambi, where he was patient and enjoyed people-watching.

Ideal Home

Rex would love a home where he can play and snuggle. He is dog selective, friendly with female dogs, and enjoys proper introductions to other dogs.

Rex is fully vaccinated, microchipped, and neutered.

Training & Support

Rex is kennel and potty trained. He is described as selective with other dogs.

Transportation

Rex is located in Houston, TX. Transport is available to various locations, with pickup points potentially varying to nearby towns or states. Our transport services operate weekly to Eastern states and bi-weekly or monthly to Western states. Adopters can track the transport van using the Life360 app and will receive updates.
