Hi friends! My name is Athena, and I'm a stunning 3-year-old female German Shepherd with a heart full of love to give. I've had a tough start, being a frequent flyer at a high-kill shelter where I was only valued for my puppies. Thankfully, I was rescued by IDGSR just in time! I'm described as affectionate, friendly, and a lovely gal who adores tummy rubs, playing in the yard, and exploring new places. I'm pretty mellow but would love to join you on walks, hikes, or any adventure you have in mind. If you enjoy gardening, road trips, cooking, or even just watching soap operas, I'll be right by your side! I'm looking for a beautiful, resilient, smart, and curious companion – that's me!

Ideal Home

I would do best in a home with teenage or adult humans. I'm good with large male dogs, but I cannot live with cats.

Ongoing Health

I am up-to-date on vaccinations, heart-worm testing, monthly preventatives, and I am spayed.

Training & Support

I am house and kennel trained, and I listen pretty well. However, I do need to learn standard obedience training, so a commitment to continuing my education is a must!

I am currently fostered in Greeneville, TN. Transport to the East Coast is available for an additional fee.
