Meet Ripley, the tiny, fearless chaos coordinator who’s a delightful blend of sheepdog, comedian, and squeaky chicken toy! Ripley is 100% blind and 100% deaf, but she's also 1,000% convinced she can do anything – and she usually can! She navigates her world with an incredible sense of smell, touch cues, and sheer determination. Ripley has mastered commands like "sit," "touch," "paw," and "wait" through tactile signals, proving that her senses don't limit her zest for life, learning, or love.
She's an active girl who loves to explore, run, and employ her surprisingly strong herding instincts. Ripley is also a professional shoe collector – she doesn't chew them, she just likes to keep them in her personal collection! When it’s time to wind down, Ripley is a professional cuddle bug, always wanting to be near her people and offering silent supervision during snack times.
Ideal Home
Ripley would thrive in a home that understands her unique needs. A cat-free environment is a must, as she is quite obsessed with felines and would happily spend her days "managing" them. Due to her strong herding instincts, small animals are also not a good fit. Ripley absolutely must go to a home with another confident dog, as she relies on them for reassurance and feels too scared without a canine companion.
Ongoing Health
Ripley is sensitive to sunlight and requires protective goggles when outdoors due to her partially albino nature, which can cause eye irritation from UV exposure. She is still working on mastering stairs, and can experience car sickness, so travel may require some planning.
Training & Support
Ripley is crate-trained, walks nicely on a leash, and is motivated by treats. Consistent potty breaks are helpful for her house training success. She relies heavily on her people for guidance and reassurance, making her a devoted companion.
