Meet Loki! This 3-year-old Terrier mix, weighing in at about 11 pounds, is ready to be your loyal best friend. Loki has a charming wire-haired coat and a gentle spirit. He gets along wonderfully with dogs, children, and adults alike, and he loves to stay close to his favorite people. A perfect day for Loki involves a car ride with the window down, watching the world go by.
Loki's journey started in Saltillo, Mexico, where he was found near a school. After being taken to a vet clinic for care, he waited for an owner who never returned. We were happy to bring Loki into our rescue program, where he received the veterinary attention and love he deserved.
He can be a bit shy and cautious when meeting new people, needing a little time to feel safe and build trust. But with a kind word and a gentle approach, his tail will start wagging, and his sweet, affectionate personality will shine through. He enjoys being petted and carried, and is content to walk quietly beside you, simply being part of your day.
Ideal Home
Loki would thrive in a home with an active family that enjoys outdoor activities and has a fenced backyard. He needs a patient adopter who understands the needs of a rescued animal and is prepared to provide the time and understanding for him to feel secure.
Ongoing Health
Loki is healthy and up-to-date on his vaccinations and preventative care. He has been spayed, vaccinated for DHPPI and Rabies, dewormed, microchipped, and tested negative for heartworm and 4DX. He is on monthly flea, tick, and heartworm preventative.
Training & Support
Loki is not house-trained. Adopters should be aware that rescued dogs may require an adjustment period and a patient approach. Experience with dog behavior and training, or a willingness to hire a trainer, is highly recommended.

- Upon approval, you'll sign the adoption contract and pay the adoption fee.
Transporation
Loki is currently being fostered in Saltillo, Mexico, and is ready to travel to the East Coast on our next cross-country trip. Transportation is available for an additional fee of $400 USD, which covers door-to-door delivery. We organize 3-4 trips per year with a contracted transport company. Adopters will be added to a private Facebook Messenger group for real-time updates during the journey.
