Meet Beau! This handsome 5-year-old, neutered male Great Pyrenees is a true gem who has been a cherished member of his family for 4.5 years. He's fully vaccinated, potty-trained, and up-to-date on all preventative care, including flea/tick and heartworm. Beau has fully recovered from TPLO surgery on both hind legs, a significant investment in his well-being, and he's now doing wonderfully with no ongoing health concerns or need for medication.
Beau is an incredibly affectionate and friendly boy who adores people, including children of all ages. He's also quite friendly towards strangers. However, Beau does have a strong food aggression and has had a few incidents with other dogs in his home over food. While no serious injuries have occurred, his family has been managing this by feeding him separately. Because of this, Beau would truly thrive as the only dog in his new home. He's a loyal and loving companion who will be happiest in a home where he is the sole canine. His current family is heartbroken to rehome him due to upcoming health challenges, but their priority is finding him the safest and happiest next chapter.
Ideal Home
Beau would be the perfect companion for an adult or family home where he can be the only dog. A secure, fenced yard is preferred. Patient owners who understand and are committed to managing his food aggression by always feeding him separately will ensure he thrives.
Ongoing Health
Beau is in excellent health! He is neutered, fully vaccinated, and current on all flea/tick and heartworm prevention. He has made a complete recovery from TPLO surgery on both hind legs and requires no ongoing medical care or medication.
Training & Support
Beau is house-trained and a wonderful companion to his people. As noted, he requires careful management around food due to his food aggression. New owners will need to continue feeding him separately and always be mindful of food resources.
