My name is Ned! I'm a handsome boy with a beautiful coat that appears black but shines with brown hues in the sun. My adorable white toes and distinguished goatee give me a unique charm. I came all the way from New Mexico with my siblings, Dusty and Lucky, as "The Three Amigos!" I'm a world-class snuggler and love to wrestle and play with dogs of all sizes. My foster mom calls me "Jaws" because I love to playfully show off my teeth when I wrestle, and sometimes "Snuffles" because I enjoy my meals from a Snuffle Mat, which helps me eat at a better pace. I'm not a fan of the cold, but I do enjoy looking dapper in cute coats! I promise to continue working on being "Nifty Ned" instead of "Naughty Ned."
Ideal Home
I'm looking for a family that has time to spend with me. While I understand you might need to be out during the workday, I'd love it if you could play with me, take me for walks, and teach me new things when you're home. Sleeping in bed with you is a must, and I also adore cuddling on the sofa. I really need another dog to live with, as I rely on my canine companions for support, comfort, and warmth.
Ongoing Health
I'm generally healthy, but I do have a tendency to "tinkle" inside if I can't hold it, so you'll need to watch for my signals. My foster mom also rations my water daily because I'm a fast drinker.
Training & Support
I know "sit," "off," and "come," and I'm working on "down," "stay," and "wait." I think training classes would be a great way for us to bond! I'm still learning to resist the urge to explore the tops of surfaces, but I'm getting better with redirection. I can be a little barky and jumpy when meeting new people, but I'm working on showing everyone I'm a good boy.
