I am Baby, a sweet and laid-back 12-year-old, 8-pound female Apple Head Chihuahua. As a senior gal, I'm searching for a peaceful retirement home where I can relax and enjoy my golden years. I might be a little shy when we first meet, but give me a moment and a tasty treat, and I'll warm up to you in no time! Once I know you, I'm a devoted and loving companion. I enjoy being by your side but I'm also independent and happy to entertain myself while you're out running errands.
Ideal Home
I'm a bit of a barker, especially when I hear visitors or critters, so a single-family home would be ideal for me rather than an apartment or condo. I've been working hard on my manners and have made great progress, so I no longer feel the need to alert you to every little thing outside! I get along well with other dogs, especially seniors like myself, but I'd also be content as your one and only furry friend.
Ongoing Health
I used to have some knee trouble, but I've had surgery on both and am now completely pain-free and can even enjoy a good run! I do take daily heart medication, Furosemide and Pimobendan, which is easily administered and my condition is well-managed. This heart condition does not impact my daily life or activities. I am spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped.
Training & Support
I am completely house-trained and understand the importance of going potty outside, though I do not use a doggy door. Because I'm on the smaller side, I do need a little supervision when I'm exploring the great outdoors. My favorite part of the day is a leisurely morning walk, followed by a cozy nap or some quality TV time with my favorite person.
