Kody

Kody is a sweet 4-year-old Maltese mix with a heart full of love to give! He arrived at our rescue from Georgia after a difficult experience of being hit by a car and left outside for 24 hours. He had a broken pelvis, but thanks to the care he received, it has now healed beautifully. Kody is a sensitive soul who needs a little extra time and patience to build trust. Once he feels secure, he forms a very strong bond with his person. If you're looking for an instant connection without a little adjustment period, Kody might not be the best fit, as he can offer to bite if he feels pushed or overwhelmed. He is, however, wonderful with other dogs and is completely over any issues from his prior injuries – he's healed and ready for happiness!

Ideal Home

Kody would do best in a home with older children. He needs a patient and understanding family who will give him the space he needs to decompress and trust.

Ongoing Health

Kody's broken pelvis has healed well. He is up-to-date on all his vaccines and current on flea, tick, and heartworm prevention.

Training & Support

Kody needs time to adjust and build trust. It's important not to push him, as he may offer to bite if he feels overwhelmed. With patience and gentle guidance, he will learn to trust and become an incredibly devoted companion.
