Hi, I'm Hunter. Not too long ago, I was running down a busy freeway in Southern California. Cars flew past me, horns blared, and I didn't know where I belonged. Thankfully, some incredibly patient people refused to give up on me. They brought me to safety, and that was the day my life finally changed. When I first arrived, everything felt overwhelming, but no one rushed me. They let me discover that gentle hands exist, kind voices are real, and I didn't have to be afraid anymore. Now, every day, I'm becoming a little braver. I'm the kind of dog who likes to take things at my own pace. Once I know I'm safe, you'll start to see my playful, goofy personality peek through. I genuinely enjoy being around people, and I can't wait to know what it's like to truly belong to someone. There's one thing you should know about me: food is my absolute favorite! Treats? Yes, please. Snacks? Even better. If you've got treats, you've got my full attention. I'm learning to walk nicely on a leash, picking up new skills every day, and I'm excited to keep learning with my future family. I've also been calm around other dogs during walks and around the kennel. I haven't lived with one yet, but with slow introductions, I may enjoy having a canine friend. More than anything, I'm dreaming about something I've never really had: a home. A place where I don't have to keep running. A family who understands that sometimes the sweetest dogs just need a little patience before they show you their whole heart. I promise, I'm worth waiting for.
