Meet Ashton!

Ashton is a handsome 4-year-old Yellow Labrador Retriever who weighs in at a sturdy 88 pounds. He's a happy and energetic boy who was returned to us because his family was moving. Having grown up in a home since he was a puppy, this is a big adjustment for Ashton, but he's taking it all in stride with a wagging tail and a playful spirit!

Ashton's favorite pastime is a good game of fetch – he'll enthusiastically bring the ball right back for another throw. He loves being active and spending quality time with his people. He's a strong dog with a big personality to match his size, and while he might not always realize how big he is, he's incredibly sweet. He's also done well with other dogs here at the shelter!

Ashton is looking for a committed family who will provide him with the stability and love he deserves for life.

Ongoing Health

Ashton is heartworm positive and will be treated here at the shelter. Moving forward, he will need a family committed to keeping him on monthly heartworm prevention and ensuring he receives regular veterinary care to keep him happy and healthy.

Training & Support

Ashton is a strong boy who is still learning his size. With consistent love and guidance, he'll surely blossom!

Transportation

We are located in Gainesville, TX, but we offer transportation services all over the U.S. We are open 11 AM–5 PM (closed Thursday and Friday).
