Steve

Steve is a charming pup with a heart of gold, ready to find his forever family. He and his seven littermates were owner surrenders and came into our care with the help of the Shamrock Animal Welfare League. While his former owner kept his parents, they were both spayed/neutered with Shamrock's assistance. Steve and his siblings had limited socialization in their previous home, making them a bit shy around people. However, here at SoCo, our dedicated staff has been working diligently to help them build confidence, and Steve has made wonderful progress! He's a friendly and playful boy who, with a little patience and understanding, is sure to blossom into an amazing companion.

Ideal Home

Steve would thrive in a home with another well-socialized dog who can show him the ropes, or with an experienced owner who is patient and understanding. He may take some time to fully open up in a new environment, so a calm and supportive home will be key to his continued success.

Ongoing Health

Steve has received his annual vaccinations, de-worming, and treatment for any potential parasites. He will also be neutered prior to his adoption. His new family should follow their veterinarian's advice for future vaccinations and care.

Training & Support

Steve will require basic training. He may need some time to build confidence and fully trust new people, so consistent positive reinforcement and patience will be essential.
