Waylon

Waylon is a 65 lb, neutered male Staffie mix who is a little over a year old. He is a big, goofy, and lovable derp who doesn't quite realize his size and carries himself with the enthusiastic energy of a much smaller pup. Waylon's personality is a fun mix of playful, curious, silly, and affectionate. While he's not overly clingy, he enjoys being around his people and bounces through life with joyful, goofy energy. One of his greatest loves is tennis balls, and he could happily spend hours chasing them. He has a moderate energy level and enjoys playtime, making him a great match for an active home. Once he's had a chance to burn off some energy, he settles nicely and becomes a calm companion.

Ideal Home

Waylon would thrive in a home that appreciates his goofy personality, enjoys playtime and activity, and is ready for a big-hearted, slightly derpy companion. He would likely do best in an active home that understands big, goofy dogs. He is friendly with children of all ages and enjoys high-energy play with other dogs his size, though he doesn't require another dog in the home.

Ongoing Health

Waylon can get a little nervous during storms and thunder, but CBD chews help him relax. He has no issues with food, toys, or resource guarding.

Training & Support

Waylon is house-trained and sleeps well in his crate. He walks well on leash once he's burned off some energy, though he can zig-zag a bit when curious. He may greet new people with a curious little boof before warming up.

Transporation

Waylon is currently being fostered in Austin, Texas. Transports run every few weeks, and approved dogs will be placed on the next available transport out of state when matched with an approved adopter.
