Bailey-Sue is a 4-year-old, 57lb spayed female pittie mix who is playful, affectionate, and brave. She came to us from a local shelter after surviving abuse. While it took her time to trust again, her resilience and gentle spirit now shine through. She just needs a patient, loving home willing to let her open up at her own pace. Once she feels safe, she is pure love!
Ideal Home
Bailey-Sue would love a home that understands she may take time to feel safe and confident. She can be cautious and may bark or seem unsure around new people or dogs due to her past experiences. With love, patience, and structure, she blossoms into a loyal, trusting companion. She adores children and currently lives happily with kids ranging from 3 to 17 years old. Bailey-Sue loves to play with other dogs but has what we call socially awkward or selective play. She prefers slow introductions and has done best with dogs around 30-80 lbs. She may do particularly well with a calm male dog who can match her energy and help her feel confident.
Ongoing Health
Bailey-Sue is spayed and up-to-date on vaccinations.
Training & Support
Bailey-Sue is fully house-trained and crate-trained, sleeping through the night. She is used to eating and enjoying treats in her crate or outside alone. She has never shown any food or toy guarding. When it comes to leash walking, Bailey-Sue does best when she's had a little time to burn off energy first. Once settled, she walks nicely without pulling, but if she heads out full of excitement, she might need a few reminders. Continued leash work will help her be her best self.
