Kobe

Kobe is a big-hearted, affectionate Rottweiler and American Foxhound mix puppy who loves cuddles, people, children, dogs, walks, sniffing, play, toys, treats, and being near his humans. Formerly named Baldur, he was raised with his mama and littermates, adopted as a puppy, and recently returned through no fault of his own. He is nearly 60 pounds and expected to reach 80–100 pounds as an adult.

Ideal Home

Kobe is excellent with children and other dogs of all ages and sizes. He is curious about cats and is learning to respect the resident cat’s boundaries. He may be cautious with unfamiliar people at first but warms up quickly. He will thrive with a family ready to provide continued training, play, exploration, and plenty of affection.

Ongoing Health

Kobe’s adoption inclusions include spay/neuter, the first three distemper-series vaccines and dewormings, an age-appropriate rabies vaccine, a microchip with lifetime registration at no additional fee, and current heartworm and flea/tick preventatives.

Training & Support

Kobe is smart, treat-motivated, and learning basic manners, leash skills, and settling. He is mostly housebroken, though occasional puppy accidents may still occur. He does well in his crate and sleeps comfortably there overnight; during the day, he may briefly protest when he hears people nearby but settles quickly. His foster is also helping redirect occasional excited or playful mouthiness to toys. Continued training will be important as he grows.
