Meet Phillip, a 50-pound Staffy mix who is a true champion at flinging plushie toys and showering his favorite people with love. Phillip is a delightful boy who enjoys playtime, especially after a successful bath time. While he may be a little shy initially, Phillip is gaining confidence and learning to trust, showing wonderful progress in his leash manners and overall demeanor. He's a social pup who gets along well with other dogs of all sizes and is friendly towards men and women. Phillip does need some understanding and patience when it comes to people raising their hands, as he is learning that hands are for gentle pets, not threats. With a moderate to high energy level, Phillip thrives on daily exercise and mental stimulation through walks and puzzle toys. He is crate-trained and does not dig, but he loves his chew toys, so supervised playtime is recommended. Phillip knows "sit" and is working on his impulse control around treats, showing great improvement. He's looking for a home that will appreciate his journey and offer him the love and patience he deserves to become the confident, loyal companion he's meant to be.
