Zola

Meet Zola, a quiet and cautious 2-year-old Shih Tzu weighing about 12 pounds. She needs time to feel comfortable, but once she settles in, she enjoys toys, plays with small dogs, and shows a bit of sass.

Ideal Home

Zola needs an adult home with a quiet household, a securely fenced yard, and a friendly, compatible small dog. She has lived with cats and leaves them alone. Children make her nervous, and she does not like being picked up, so she needs people who will let her build trust at her own pace.

Ongoing Health

Zola's adoption includes spay/neuter, core vaccines, rabies vaccination when age appropriate, a 4DX test when age appropriate, parasite treatment, flea, tick, and heartworm prevention, a microchip, and dental surgery if recommended by the veterinary partner. She also comes with 30 days of Trupanion Pet Insurance.

Training & Support

Zola currently uses pee pads and is working on leash training. Outside can be overwhelming and may cause her to panic, so her fenced yard will provide a secure way to spend time outdoors. She can be left alone without showing separation anxiety. Her adoption includes a positive-reinforcement training session and ongoing support as she settles into her new home.

Application Details

• Zola's adoption fee is $300.
