Meet Jimmy, a 1.5-year-old, 45-pound, neutered male Pitbull Terrier mix who is as full of love as he is energy! Jimmy is a happy-go-lucky pup who greets everyone with enthusiasm and a furiously wagging tail. He's a playful, curious boy who loves to engage in games of tag, tug-of-war, and wrestling with his doggy friends.
Ideal Home
Jimmy would thrive in an active home where he receives plenty of exercise, attention, and affection. A fenced yard would be a bonus, but consistent engagement and companionship are most important. He would do well with a work-from-home individual or an active family who will include him in their daily lives. He would also love to have another playful dog companion who enjoys high-energy play. Jimmy is friendly and social with older children and would likely do well with respectful kids, but may be too enthusiastic for very young children without supervision. He has not been tested with cats but may chase at this stage.

Training & Support
Jimmy is house-trained and is making great progress with crate training, beginning to view it as a safe space. He can be left alone for moderate periods (4-6 hours), especially with a canine companion. He is still polishing his leash manners and can pull when excited due to his curiosity about the world, especially good smells and passing dogs. With consistency and some solo walks, he will continue to improve quickly, as he is very food and praise-motivated and eager to learn. He shows no signs of resource guarding, though he does think every toy is the best toy.

Transportation
Jimmy is currently located in Houston, Texas. He can be transported to a city once an adopter is matched. Transport is included in the adoption donation of $475.
