Top is a gentle soul with a heart that's ready to bloom in the right home. Like several of his siblings, Top came to us unsocialized, so the world is still a big and sometimes scary place. He's a very submissive boy who is making progress every day. He's beginning to understand that walking on a leash isn't so frightening, although he's still learning the basics and will need someone willing to help him build confidence at his own pace. One thing Top already knows he loves? A comfy dog bed. Give him a soft place to rest, and he's one happy pup. Top does well with the dogs he knows and has lived alongside. He has also met another dog and, while he was very timid and unsure, he showed that he would rather avoid conflict than create it. A calm, respectful canine companion could be a wonderful role model to help him continue gaining confidence. If you have a soft spot for the underdogs and understand that trust is earned one day at a time, Top will reward your patience with a bond that's truly special. Sometimes the most rewarding companions are the ones who simply needed someone to believe in them.
