Raquel

Raquel is an eleven-month-old Anatolian Shepherd who arrived with over 40 other dogs from a hoarding situation. While the dogs were provided with basic care, their elderly owners were overwhelmed and unable to offer crucial socialization. Raquel didn't get the ideal start, but she's making wonderful progress and is well on her way to becoming a confident companion. She's a big girl with an even bigger heart, incredibly sweet, and eager to trust. While new experiences might initially cause her to pause and process, she's not stuck and continues to gain confidence daily.

Ideal Home

Raquel needs a home that understands she is still learning about indoor living, leash walking, and everyday activities. A securely fenced yard is a must, and a confident, friendly resident dog would be a huge asset, providing a positive role model for her to learn from. Due to her tendency to startle easily and her ongoing confidence-building journey, we recommend a home with children over the age of 10.

Training & Support

Raquel is inexperienced with many aspects of domestic life and may be uncertain about new things. Patience, routine, and consistency will be key to her continued success.
