Meet Sleepy, a bright and curious 5-month-old Blue Heeler mix who weighs around 16 pounds. He was rescued with his whole family and has been safely cared for, and now he's ready for his own forever home! Sleepy is an intelligent pup who loves to take in his surroundings with his thoughtful eyes. He's playful, energetic, and full of puppy enthusiasm, enjoying toys and exploring. As a Blue Heeler, he'll thrive with a family that can provide plenty of physical exercise and mental enrichment through training and puzzles. He gets along well with other dogs and is comfortable around children, men, and women. With continued positive guidance, Sleepy has the potential to be an incredible lifelong companion for an active family.
Ideal Home
We're looking for families who enjoy outdoor activities and have a home with a fenced backyard. Adopters should have an open mind about the needs of rescued animals and be willing to provide protection and education. Experience with dog behavior and training is preferred, as is a high tolerance and patience for rescued puppies. Sleepy is not yet house-trained.
Ongoing Health
Sleepy has been neutered, vaccinated (DHPPI, Rabies, Bordetella), dewormed, and tested negative for heartworms. He has a health certificate and vaccination booklet.
Training & Support
Sleepy is not house-trained and will require dedicated effort in this area. As he is a young, intelligent breed, consistent positive reinforcement and mental stimulation will be key to his success.

Transporation
Sleepy is currently being fostered in Houston, Texas, and is available for transport to the East Coast and PNW if adopted. A transport fee of $400.00 will apply, paid by the adopter prior to departure.
