Mali is an energetic and intelligent 3.5-year-old Belgian Malinois who weighs about 55 pounds. She absolutely thrives when she has a job to do and a person to love. Mali is happiest when she's on the move, learning new things, or exploring the world with her favorite human by her side. She loves jogging, hiking, and turning everyday outings into exciting adventures, especially if there are squirrels involved! Mali is incredibly smart and knows an impressive list of commands like sit, down, stay, come, heel, place, wait at doors, find it, and going into her crate. She genuinely enjoys working and learning, and while she's not suited for service dog work, she excels in training for fun, enrichment, and bonding. She can be a little reserved with new people initially, but with treats, patience, and a good walk, she warms up nicely. Mali is very clean in the house and fully crate trained, spending her time napping while her owner is away. She easily loads into the car and walks beautifully on a leash with clear direction. Mali forms deep bonds with her person and desires nothing more than to be a loyal, devoted best friend.
Ideal Home
Mali would do best in an active, dog-savvy home that understands the Belgian Malinois breed and enjoys regular exercise and training. A quieter household without cats or young children, and with a confident, similarly-sized male dog companion, would likely be the best fit for her.
Ongoing Health
Mali has received age-appropriate vaccinations, has been de-wormed, and treated for flea and tick prevention. She has also been tested for heartworm and is on prevention. She received a health check by a licensed veterinarian prior to adoption.
Training & Support
