Benson

Meet Benson, a sweet and quiet gentleman who found his way to us after a difficult start. He was hit by a car in Texas and left to wander, but thanks to the care he received, including a leg amputation, Benson has learned that humans can be a source of good things, like treats and a comfortable place to rest.

Benson is a true observer, content to be in the same room with you, keeping an eye on things and enjoying your company without needing constant attention. He's not one for high-energy adventures, preferring a peaceful life with a soft place to sleep.

Ideal Home

Benson would thrive in a calm, low-traffic home. He would do best with children over 12 who understand and respect a dog's boundaries. Loud or overly energetic children might be overwhelming for him.

Ongoing Health

Benson is a tripod due to a past injury and leg amputation. While he gets around just fine, a home with minimal stairs is preferred to ensure his long-term comfort.

Training & Support

Benson is potty trained and has been a perfect gentleman during vet visits and handling. He rides beautifully in the car and gets along well with other dogs, while remaining indifferent to cats.
