Glenda and Lucky

Meet Glenda and Lucky, two 14-year-old sweethearts who are looking for their forever home together! Glenda, a white and brown Jack Terrier Mix weighing 11.30lbs, and Lucky, a brown Doxie mix weighing 16.96lbs, have been through a lot. They were found after being left alone for an extended period, which sadly led to hair loss and painful, overgrown nails for Lucky. Despite their past, these girls are incredibly resilient. Lucky has warmed up wonderfully to her foster mom, and while Glenda is still a bit timid around new faces, she's blossoming. They are a bonded pair and truly a package deal, with Glenda often grooming and caring for Lucky. Both are potty pad trained and spend their days enjoying peaceful naps.

Ideal Home

Glenda and Lucky would thrive in a calm household with minimal foot traffic. They get along well with other dogs, but Glenda has a tendency to chase cats, so a feline-free home would be best.

Ongoing Health

Lucky has a lifelong need for a prescription low-fat diet due to chronic, low-grade pancreatitis. It's crucial for her new family to be very strict about avoiding fatty treats, opting instead for fresh fruits and vegetables. Both Glenda and Lucky have undergone dental cleanings with extractions and senior bloodwork while in our care.

Training & Support

These girls are understandably apprehensive with new people. Patience and a gentle approach will be key to helping them feel secure. Their bond is strong, and they find comfort in each other's presence.
