Simmba

Simmba is a handsome 3-year-old Poodle mix who found himself at Shelter Hope after his family could no longer provide him with the attention he needed. Despite a past of mostly outdoor living, Simmba has blossomed in his foster home, revealing a smart, playful, and incredibly loving companion. He's a master of "sit," a fetch enthusiast, and loves to zoom around the yard with his favorite squeaky toys. Indoors, he's a cuddle bug who showers his people with kisses and enjoys being close by. He's also respectful of boundaries, happily retreating to his bed when asked. Simmba is working on building confidence and learning that the world is a safe and positive place, making excellent progress with socialization. He can be a bit protective and needs help navigating his emotions, but once trust is built, he forms deep, loyal bonds.

Ideal Home

Simmba thrives in a calm, low-chaos environment. He would do well with another small, friendly, playful female dog.

Ongoing Health

Simmba has some skin allergies, possibly food-related, and is currently wearing a cone to prevent licking.

Training & Support

Simmba is fully potty trained and food-motivated. He knows "sit" and is learning to navigate his big feelings. He bonds deeply and is incredibly loyal once trust is built. He needs someone willing to give him the time and understanding he deserves.
