Gilbert is a stunning, sweet boy with gorgeous eyes! He's estimated to be between 8-10 months old and weighs around 32 pounds, with a projected adult weight of under 40 pounds. He arrived with us after being found in Miami, a bit underweight and in need of some TLC. He's likely to stay on the petite side, which could be due to his past or his genetics. Gilbert is still very much a puppy and is eager to learn and grow with the right guidance.

Ideal Home

Gilbert would do best in a home with other dogs of a similar or larger size. He may be a bit too rambunctious for smaller dogs, but with proper training, he could learn to be more gentle. We don't know how he'd do with cats, but he might instinctively pounce. He absolutely needs a yard and no apartments.

Ongoing Health

Gilbert was neutered on January 5th. At that time, the vet confirmed he is likely not to get much larger than his current size.

Training & Support

Gilbert is a smart boy who is still learning. He's doing okay with crate training, but he would benefit greatly from consistent practice in a home environment. He needs a home that is committed to socializing him and continuing his training to help him thrive.
