RITCHEY ROO (aka Richard)

Ritchey Roo, affectionately known as Richard, is an exuberant, jubilant, and yet laid-back fellow estimated to be around 5-6 years old. He truly embodies the spirit of man's best friend, with a deep affection for humans. Richard enjoys lounging indoors and outdoors, and his favorite pastime is simply being in your presence. He's a happy boy who isn't shy about showing his joy. While he can be a quiet couch potato, he also has bursts of energy, transforming from zero to ten the moment a leash appears or you walk through the door. He can be gentle, but also a bit enthusiastic with his greetings, especially when food or leashes are involved, which can include some jumping and a bit of vocalization.

Ideal Home

Richard would thrive in a home with a fenced yard, where he can safely enjoy his bursts of energy. Given his exuberant greetings, he would do best as the only spoiled pup in the home, receiving all the attention.

Ongoing Health

Richard came to us underweight and has since gained to 90 lbs. He could benefit from a diet and increased physical activity.

Training & Support

Richard is house-trained and can be left alone without issue. He has learned the command "OVER" to create space in bed. While he enjoys walks, he does require significant leash training as he is a strong puller. He doesn't seem to be interested in toys or playing fetch.
