Meet Maddie! This sweet pit bull terrier mix is estimated to be around 10-12 years young and weighs about 43 pounds. Despite a challenging start in life, Maddie is a profoundly loving and joyful girl who has blossomed over the past 7 years in our care. She's become social, welcoming, and truly loves to be part of a pack. Maddie has learned to trust, live, love, and enjoy life to the fullest, overcoming all odds. She's well-mannered, socially curious, and patiently waiting for her forever home where she can finally experience the belonging and happiness she so deeply deserves.

Ongoing Health
All adoptions include spaying/neutering, age-appropriate vaccinations, rabies vaccinations, heartworm testing (negative), flea and tick prevention, Lyme disease testing (negative), deworming, and fecal testing. Maddie also receives all age-appropriate medical care, including blood work, dental checks, and necessary medications. She is microchipped with lifetime registration.
Training & Support
Maddie is house and crate-trained and walks well on a leash with excellent recall. Training is an ongoing journey, and continued positive reinforcement will ensure her continued success and happiness.

- Adoption application review can take up to 3 weeks.
- A minimum of 2 Meet & Greets are required before adopting.
- A home check is necessary.
- Out-of-state adopters are welcome at their own expense.
- We DO NOT ship any of our adoptable pets.
- Adoption fees are paid at the time of adoption.
- No exchange or request for money is required before adoption.
- No payment plans are offered.
- Former AHRS Adopters: No adoption fee is required; a donation of choice is expected, encouraged, welcome, and appreciated.
- A minimum tax-deductible suggested adoption fee donation of $250 is non-negotiable and includes transport costs for meet and greets and home checks.
