Meet Brandon!
Brandon is a handsome Shepherd Mix with an approximate age of 3 years and weighs 58 lbs. He is a male and has been neutered. Brandon's story is one of a second chance; he was rescued from a shelter after being placed on the euthanasia list. This gentle boy is now eagerly searching for a forever family to call his own. He has a mild, easygoing temperament and a sweet, thoughtful nature. Brandon can be a bit cautious in new situations, but he is never aggressive. Once he feels comfortable, his true gentle personality shines, making him a wonderful companion for those seeking a calm and loyal best friend. He currently lives at the SFCF Rescue Ranch and enjoys the company of other dogs, going for walks, and being part of the action without needing to be the center of attention.
Ideal Home
Brandon would thrive in a home that offers consistency, companionship, and plenty of love. He is happiest when he feels safe and included, whether he joins a family with another dog or is the sole pet. His future family will appreciate his gentle heart, easygoing personality, and willingness to enjoy life's everyday moments. Brandon doesn't ask for much, just a chance to experience the stability and love every dog deserves.
Ongoing Health
Brandon previously tested positive for Anaplasma, a tick-borne illness. He has successfully completed a 30-day course of Doxycycline treatment.
Training & Support
Brandon is house-trained and crate-trained. He has a medium energy level and plays well with other dogs. He adapts well to routine and structure. Brandon's formal cat testing is limited, but his response during introductions was neutral, suggesting he may do well in a home with cats with proper introductions and supervision. He is good with children, and due to his size and gentle nature, he would be especially well suited to a home with children aged 8 and older.
