Nora is a delightful 2-year-old Caramelo Dog / Labrador Retriever mix, weighing in at 32 pounds of pure joy! Her beautiful caramel coat hints at the boundless love and energy she has for life. Nora is incredibly social and gets along like a charm with dogs, children, men, and women alike. She's a happy, active girl who loves to run, play, and enjoy every moment. Nora would thrive in a home that embraces an active, outdoor lifestyle and can shower her with plenty of playtime and attention.
Nora's journey began tragically in Houston, where she and her sisters were found as tiny, vulnerable puppies. Sadly, two of her sisters were lost before rescue arrived. Nora and her surviving sister were saved just in time, giving them a chance at a safe and loving future. Despite her difficult start, Nora has blossomed into an affectionate, playful, and joyful dog. She's now ready to leave her past behind and find her forever family. She's looking for a home where she can continue to feel safe, cherished, and free to be the happy dog she was always meant to be.
Ideal Home
A house with a fenced backyard is a must. Families who enjoy outdoor activities will be a perfect fit for Nora. An open conscience towards the needs of rescued street animals, understanding their need for protection and education, is important. Experience in dog behavior and training is preferred, along with high tolerance and patience for rescued puppies.
Ongoing Health
Nora has undergone spay/neuter surgery and is up-to-date on DHPPI, Rabies, and Bordetella vaccines. She has been dewormed and has a heartworm test certificate and health certificate, along with her vaccination booklet.
Training & Support
Nora is not yet house-trained, which is a common challenge with many rescued pets due to the extensive efforts required for their rehabilitation. Patience and consistent guidance will be key to her success in this area.
